Katie Snowdon's art work
Welcome to my web page! I have created this website to display some
of my art work, as I find drawing very relaxing and rewarding, and would
like to share some of my pieces. I took art as a subject at GCSE level,
and achieved a high A grade, but unfortunately did not continue with
art at A Level, as I could not fit it into my full time college schedule.
Therefore I have joined a local art group, which holds workshops for 2
hours every Monday evening. I thoroughly enjoy going (despite the fact
that I am the youngest member) and have been able to learn lots. I feel
my drawing has improved greatly since joining.

About me

Name - Katie Roseanne Snowdon
Age - 17
Occupation -2nd year at City College Norwich,
where I am studying English Language and
Literature, Media Studies, ICT and Photography.
Qualifications - 10 GCSEs (5 A*s and 5 As), Level 3
in Communications, 4 A grade A.S. levels.
Interests - Photography and art. I also enjoy
reading, particularly romances, mysteries and
fantasies. My favourite books at the moment are
Dan Brown's 'Da Vinci Code', Philip Pullman's 'His
Dark Materials' trilogy and P.S. I Love You by
Cecelia Ahern
I also enjoy reading autobiographies by people
such as Joy Adamson (author of Born Free) and
George Adamson who worked with animals in
Africa.
Career Goals - I am working towards a career in
journalism, and therefore would like to study
Journalism at Sheffield University or English at
Cambridge University (where my college tutor has
suggested I apply).
I have been lucky enough to have had several
articles published already in Suffolk Norfolk Life
Magazine, as well as several in 'About Thetford
Magazine'. I have worked with the Eastern Daily
Press and Thetford and Brandon Press and spent
a short while working with the BBC Norfolk Website.
I have now had 30 articles published in total.
Other goals- I am hoping to take a gap year after
college, and spend (initially) 3 months in South
Africa, where I have already been given a placement
with Born Free's Shamwari Game Reserve. But I
am still desperately trying to raise money to fund
the trip.
